Developing Name Recognition
Each church of the DeKalb/North Aurora district has identified areas within the district in which they will develop name recognition. The process calls for identifying a small section of the territory to receive frequent contacts from the church. Dekalb started the name recognition process by sending post cards to 400 homes with a special Christmas message. The plan is to send a post card to the homes in that section every four to six weeks. Then, brochures will be sent to that area two or three times per year. Church members follow-up the special offers, give Bible studies, and make home visits as appropriate. This process will be expanded into additional sections after six to nine contacts are made. This approach is “bite sizing” the task to "Touch Every 1 for Jesus" in the DeKalb/North Aurora district.
